How to Apply False Lashes. Tips & Tricks for beginners!

I have been asked SO many times over the years to show/explain how to do this in more detail!

  1. Cut the lash to size.
    • (before adding glue) place the lash on your eye to measure the lashes width. Cut off any excess from the outer edge of the lash, to better fit the width of your eye.
  2. LET GLUE GET TACKY BEFORE APPLYING!
    • Give the glue about a minute to let the glue start drying before putting it on, for easier application. The tacky glue will adhere easier and faster than fresh wet glue.
  3. Change your perspective:
    • Tilt your mirror away from you, and head back, to see a better angle when putting on your lashes. Often looking straight on can be difficult to see around your natural lashes…. so tilting our head/eyes/mirror can help you adjust. (I show how I do this in the video attached at the bottom of this blog post 😉
  4. Lash glue matters.
    • I prefer to use a lash glue that has a brush application, rather than the squeeze tube. You can control the amount and placement much more.
  5. Reuse your lashes.
    • You can reuse false lashes many times… Simply remove and wash with a gentle cleanser or makeup remover. you can also use a spool brush to remove makeup in the hairs, and peel away glue from the band. Then store them and let air dry.

Here is my FULL in depth – talk thru – tutorial showing you how I apply false lashes, how to remove them, and a bunch more info lash related! 🙂 I share a ton of tips and tricks to make application easy for everyone!
